Self-proclaimed Union of People’s Republics adopts constitution of Novorossia

The parliament of the Union of People’s Republics has adopted changes to the Constitution of the confederative state, passed a number of important laws and appeal, the parliament head Oleg Tsaryov told ITAR-TASS on Tuesday.

"The second plenary meeting of the parliament of the Union of People’s Republics has taken place. The meeting adopted changes to the UPR Constitution. We can now rightly, de jure, call our state Novorossia. This name has been enshrined in the Constitution. Our legislative body is now called the parliament of Novorossia," he said.

According to him, a number of important laws have been passed without which the legislative body cannot work - the Law "On Parliament" and on the deputy status.

Each deputy will be responsible for his own district, work there, help people, in particular, with humanitarian aid, the parliament head noted. "The real work with the citizens of Novorossia will be launched. I hope that the parliament of Novorossia will become a venue on which the people’s republics will be working out consensus and developing common decisions. Step by step we will be moving towards building an independent state," Tsaryov said.
