On May 9, policemen prevented two people armed with
weapons, grenades and explosives, from entering the city of Grozny at the
checkpoint No 138, six policemen were injured in the incident.
GROZNY, May 10. /TASS/. The attack on a checkpoint in Chechnya on May 9 is an isolated case, and there are no organized forces behind it, Chechnya’s acting head Ramzan Kadyrov told reporters on Tuesday.
"What happened was not an action organized by some
forces. The situation in the republic is exceptionally stable. There are no
illegal armed groups, militants, bands and so on in the republic. There were
two people, they came from somewhere and attacked [the checkpoint]. This is an
isolated case," Kadyrov said.
Officers of the Interior Ministry and Federal Security
Service (FSB) are already working on identifying associates of the attackers.
"They have already collected a rather sufficient bulk of information on
contacts, conversations, video recordings, etc.," he added.
Kadyrov noted that "measures taken against not only
those that commit crimes but also those that conspire to commit such acts will
be very tough." "There can only be two ways for such people - to
prison or to find themselves buried by resistance," he concluded.

of armed attackers were established - Ahmed Inalov, born in 1991, and Shamil
Dzhanaraliev, born in 1989. Kadyriv said that "one of them was earlier

"This person swore that he understood everything
and will now choose the right path. And he allegedly blew himself up for faith.
Such person is not just a shaitan, he is million times worse than shaitan and
devil. A person who says that people should die for faith is not a Muslim, he
is the enemy of Islam," Chechnya’s acting head concluded.
