The former Georgian president and ex-governor
of Ukraine’s Odessa has been taken to a detention ward.

December 8. /TASS/. Mikhail Saakashvili, the former Georgian president and
ex-governor of Ukraine’s Odessa who now leads the Ukrainian opposition Movement
of New Forces, has been detained in Kiev and taken to a detention ward,
Ukraine’s Prosecutor General Yuri Lutsenko said on Friday.
"Officers
of Ukraine’s National Police have found Saakashvili’s place of stay in Kiev and
detained him. He was taken to a detention center," he wrote on his
Facebook account.
