Buk-M3 is the latest in the family of Buk air defense systems.
MOSCOW,
December 8. /TASS/. New air defense systems Buk-M3 will go operational at an
air defense missile unit in the Kursk Region, the Western Military District, on
Monday, the Defense Ministry has said.
Buk-M3 is
the latest in the family of Buk air defense systems. Its parameters are
unknown. Its predecessor, Buk-M2, armed with solid propellant missiles, is
capable of hitting targets three to 45 kilometers away at altitudes ranging 15
meters to 25 kilometers.
