Russia’s Father Frost urged everyone to find
time for more good deeds in the Near Year.
MOSCOW,
December 15. /TASS/. Russia’s Father Frost said on Friday that there is no rivalry
between him and his western counterpart, Santa Claus.
"We
are often considered rivals, but rivalry is possible only in evil deeds. How
can we speak about rivalry in good deeds? Therefore, we stay friends and often
meet at congresses of winter magicians in Denmark, Sweden and Norway,"
Father Frost said at a TASS news conference.
He urged everyone to find time for more good deeds in the Near Year.
"Let
us join efforts to make 2018, a really magical and festive year," Father
Frost exclaimed.
He also
called on people to learn to understand each other.
"This
is my main New Year wish. We travel across the country to teach you
understanding," he said.
Father Frost, who is currently on a huge New Year’s tour of Russian cities, said his granddaughter, the Snowmaiden, accompanies him on all his trips.
