Donbass militia accuse Kiev forces of ceasefire violations



Militia forces of Ukraine's self-proclaimed republics have accused the government forces of shelling their positions.

MOSCOW, April 22. /TASS/. Ukrainian government forces have been accused of ceasefire violations by the self-proclaimed republics of Donbass, the Donetsk republic, and the Lugansk republic.

 

Shelling of Lugansk republic’s militia positions


As for the self-proclaimed Lugansk republic, the local news agency, LuganskInformCenter, reports seven ceasefire violations citing local militia.

According to the report, the shelling carried out from the Luganskoye village targeted the Kalinovka village’s area three times. The Kiev forces also opened fire four times on the Krasny Liman village’s area. The Lozovoye village’s area was shelled from the direction of the Luganskoye village.

No casualties have been reported, the militia said.

 

Shelling of Donetsk republic


The local news agency of the self-proclaimed Donetsk republic, Donetsk News Agency, reported that the Ukrainian army fired 35 mortar rounds at the western outskirts of Donetsk and Sakhanka village in the south of the self-proclaimed republic. The agency cited a source in the DPR law enforcement agencies.

"The Ukrainian units were shelling Trudovskiye settlement and Sakhanka village in the south of the republic between 20.00 and 24.00 hours firing 15 82-mm mortar rounds and 20 120-mm mortar rounds," the source said.

According to him, the fire was delivered from the Ukrainian army positions in the city of Maryinka and Shirokino village. The enemy also used heavy machine guns, grenade launchers and small arms. Information on casualties or damage is specified.
