The conflicting parties are to
negotiate the disengagement line
VIENNA, November 19. /TASS/. Representatives of the
Joint Center for Control and Coordination of issues related to the ceasefire
regime have completed delimitation in eastern Ukraine, Russian Permanent
Representative at the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe
(OSCE) Andrey Kelin told TASS on Wednesday. However, talks on this
disengagement line between conflicting parties are only in view in concrete
localities, he said.
“Delimitation is under way. Military have drawn a
disengagement line from which distances for military hardware withdrawal will
be set,” he said. “This work should be finalised,” Kelin said, adding that
“Conflicting parties in concrete localities should be talked into this line
being determined correctly.”
The Contact Group on Ukraine has adopted a ceasefire
memorandum in Belarusian capital Minsk on September 20. The document has nine
clauses, particularly a ban on the use of all types of weapons and a pullback
of artillery gun systems from the contact line.
The Joint Center for Control and Coordination was formed
of Ukrainian and Russian military. Representatives of Donetsk and Luhansk
People’s Republics are also participating in the center’s activity. The OSCE
Special Monitoring Mission in Ukraine is not participating in the center’s
activity, mission’s representatives said.
