DPR Leader Says Knows Names of Those Involved in Donetsk School Shelling



DONETSK, November 9 (RIA Novosti) - The authorities of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) have identified all the artilleryman behind the shelling of a school in Donesk which caused death of two students, DPR's newly-elected leader, Alexander Zakharchenko said Sunday.

"We have identified ... all the squad leaders, the mortar batteries. Up to the guncrew commanders. We know their names and last names and where they live," Zakharchenko said on Rossiya-24 television, adding that the DPR is planning to identify all the soldiers linked to the tragedy. "We will find it all out, at any cost we will find all the information possible. All of them will be held accountable," Zakharchenko added.

Two students were killed and four sustained injuries of varying severity on Wednesday when a sports school in Donetsk was attacked.

On Thursday, the Russian Investigative Committee claimed that Ukrainian forces carried out the shelling of the school on the command of Ukraine's Ministry of Defense and the National Guard. Russian prosecutors have opened a criminal case over the incident.

Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council has also launched a criminal case, blaming the Donetsk militia for carrying out the attack.
