MOSCOW, September 3. /TASS/. The Russian-made electronic
warfare systems can protect infrastructure facilities from air and space
attacks already now, Deputy Director General of the Radio-Electronic
Technologies Group (KRET) Yuri Mayevsky told TASS on Saturday.
"The systems and development tools of KRET that
exist today can already solve the key tasks to ensure protection from air and
space attacks," Mayevsky said.
He specified that the protection of military and state
facilities from air and space challenges is based on an integrated approach.
"The essence of this defense can be described as to counter systems of
radar
reconnaissance, communication and on-board radars," Mayevsky said.
Mayevsky reminded that the components of the state of
the art electronic warfare systems of space defense which are being developed
in Russia are already undergoing tests. The system will be deployed on the
ground as well as on air and sea carriers.
The electronic warfare system is the extension of such systems
as Krasukha and Moskva-1 but at new technical and technological levels, he
added. "We took into consideration the characteristics of modern and
future radio-electronic systems of a potential enemy which this complex is
designed to neutralize," he explained.
