MOSCOW, March 24. /TASS/. The 50th Russian humanitarian convoy has arrived in the east Ukrainian cities of Donetsk and Lugansk, the Emergencies Ministry said on Thursday.
"The Russian Emergencies Ministry’s convoys have
arrived in Donetsk and Lugansk and the unloading has started at
warehouses," the ministry’s spokesman said.
Some 90 trucks brought over 1,100 tons of humanitarian
cargo, including foodstuffs, textbooks and necessities, to Donetsk and Lugansk.
According to Deputy Emergencies Minister Sergei Voronov,
Russia will send three more humanitarian convoys to eastern Ukraine in April,
May and June.
Since August 2014, Russia has sent 49 convoys with over
59,000 tons of humanitarian aid to Donetsk and Lugansk.
