The forces

source in the law enforcement agencies of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s
Republic says.
MOSCOW, January 13. /TASS/. Kiev troops shelled the
territory of the embattled Donetsk airport on Wednesday morning, a source in
the law enforcement agencies of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic
has said.
"At
around 8.00 a.m. Ukrainian military opened fire on the positions of the DPR
armed forces in the airport," the source told the Donetsk news agency. The
forces used mortars with the caliber of 82 mm, grenade launchers and small
arms.
On Tuesday night, the Ukrainian forces carried out massive shelling in the village of Spartak near the Donetsk airport using mortars and tank guns. "They started shelling us late yesterday evening and the shelling continues," local citizens said.
Kiev troops also opened fire on the territory of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic, local militias told the LuganskInformCenter. "The shelling occurred on January 12 between 9.40 a.m. and 8.00 p.m." No casualties were reported.

On December
22, the Contact Group on peaceful settlement of conflict in Donbas agreed at
the meeting in Minsk to "fully and unconditionally" observe the
ceasefire regime since December 23. This is the sixth ceasefire declared since
autumn 2014. However, Kiev forces continue shelling the territory of the
self-proclaimed republics.
