Army of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) repulsed an assault attempt from the Ukrainian military in the Telman district, representative of the republic’s defense ministry Eduard Basurin said on Monday.
“At 5:30 a.m. after an artillery preparation, the Ukrainian military undertook an attempt to break the front line near Belaya Kamenka,” the Donetsk News Agency quoted him. “Having lost two tanks, one IFV (infantry fighting vehicle) and one vehicle with an installed ATM (anti-tank missile), the enemy retreated.”
Earlier on Monday, head of the Telman district Sergey Ivanov disclaimed information published in some media about fighting near Novaya Laspa. “At night, the Ukrainian armed forces simply fired at the settlement,” he said.
“Novaya Laspa remains under control of the DPR.”
