Some 35,000 people take part in Anti-Maidan rally, say police



The number that is much bigger than the earlier coordinated with the Moscow Mayor’s Office figure of 10,000 participants, Moscow police say

MOSCOW, February 21./TASS/. About 35,000 people take part in a rally of the Anti-Maidan movement, the number that is much bigger than the earlier coordinated with the Moscow Mayor’s Office figure of 10,000 participants, Moscow police say.

The rally is timed to mark an anniversary of victory of the Maidan movement in Ukraine when then President Viktor Yahukovich had to abandon his position and is held under the motto of We Won’t Forget, We Won’t Forgive.

The participants march from Petrovka Street to central Revolution Square, where a meeting will be held. Earlier, the organizers of the rally said they were ready to pay a fine for exceeding the number of participants.
